It is taught by a Dr. Catherine Cain, a Pediatric Behavioral Specialist with over 25 years experience. Students will learn: 1. How to identify ADHD. 2. The causes of ADHD. 3. What treatments are available for ADHD. 4. How to solve behavior problems associated with ADHD in the home or classroom. You need not have prior education or experience in order to take this course. It is written in easy to understand language.
This course offers 1.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this online course with or without CEU documentation. An online and hard-copy Certificate of Course Completion displaying your coursework and CEUs earned is included with the CEU Option.   3. Lesson 3: What's It All About? - Lesson 3 covers the neurological functionings of the brain in children with ADHD and how this is related to ADHD symptoms.
  4. Lesson 4: Treatment for ADHD - Lesson 4 covers common treatments for ADHD including medication, teaching of social skills, and therapy. It also includes information on how the environment influences ADHD symptoms.
  5. Lesson 5: Factors Related to ADHD - This lesson covers factors that are related to ADHD that are in the environment.
  6. Lesson 6: Strategies, Funding, Resources - Lesson 6 offers 30 of my best strategies for working with ADHD, along with information about funding and resources.
