MERTON FOOTBALL CLUB IS 100 YEARS OLD IN 2010
We are planning a big bash to celebrate this fantastic achievement in the form of a Celebratory Dinner, and partners are invited, it will also include presentation of awards for that season - for a local football club to have survived at all for 100 years is in itself an amazing achievement, especially when one considers that most of our fellow founders have either gone by the ‘wayside’ or survived with some outside help or finance - Merton are head and shoulders above the rest.
We, your Centenary Committee, are therefore currently investigating the best
ways to mark this milestone. However, we do need your help and ask you to bear with us while we investigate the various options open to us. We are at this moment in time “flying blind” as the saying goes. If you are interested in participating in this fantastic event, please respond to this letter by completing the attached form and sending it back to us in the envelope provided. This will enable us to take an informal decision based on the numbers that commit to attending and assist us in choosing an appropriate venue.
Most good venues are booked well over a year in advance and so we do need to decide where and when this will take place as soon as possible. We are assured that the club Website www.mertonfc.co.uk
