U 10s Friendly 03.09.17

Merton FC 1- 1 Woking Cougar Colts

Sunday saw the U10s first match of the season, a home warm up against our friends from Woking Cougar Colts.

Our first competitive action since June we was slow getting into the game dusting the cobwebs off and found ourselves a goal down at the break.

2nd half changes made, we came out meaning business and grabbed the equaliser fast. Our 2 new signings for this season linking up well, Cordell making a strong run into the box laying the ball off for Elliot to tap in from close range.
Woking weathered the following storm then chances came thick and fast at both ends with both keepers making important saves seeing the game end 1-1.

A good warm up game for both teams played in the right spirit and enjoyed by everyone.

Thanks to Mark for stepping up to ref and to Woking Cougar Colts for travelling down for the game.
Man of the match was awarded to Sam for a very strong goalkeeping performance.

Special note to grounds men: Please cut the grass it was ridiculous.
