Pre-season training will begin on WEDNESDAY 10th JULY at JOSEPH HOOD REC. As with seasons past we will have NK Fitness down to spend at least 30 minutes with everyone working solely on your fitness, there will be a chance to work on some ball work and we should also have time to play some small sided football matches. We ask that you to get to Joseph Hood around 7pm, with the training due to start promptly. Changing facilities are not provided. This is your chance to bring friends and colleagues along to experience the joys of Merton FC and encourage them to join. As always there will be someone in attendance to take any membership fees.

Winter training is at St Mark’s Academy School, Acacia Road, Mitcham CR4 1SF due to the evening light.

Adult Training will start on 4th September and then every Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm – 8:30pm.

Please arrive soon after 7.15pm to stretch and warm up.

This is an Astro Turf pitch – So please wear appropriate footwear (bring your trainers along).

We still have NK Fitness, so everyone will have a good 30 minutes of fitness. The format will be exactly as pre-season with a mix of football skills and high intense fitness from Nathan. We can only justify the expense of fitness trainer IF we maintain the numbers that have attended so far.

Each player is responsible for their own physical fitness. Attendance at training is encouraged and preferable but not yet compulsory, however training is likely to affect team selection and there may be occasions when attendance is required.

Mitcham Eastfields train station is a five minute walk from the pitch (0.1 mi N) and trains go from Victoria, Clapham Junction, and Balham.

When you exit the station walk up Grove Road with the school on your right. Just after the new building there is a path on your right saying ‘Entrance to Adventure Playground’ which brings you to the pitch.

If you’re driving, Acacia Road is off Tamworth Lane. Drive all the way to the end of Acacia Rd, with the school on your left, and then follow the road round to the left and you reach the entrance of the pitches.
