Youth Result. In their final game our u12s lost 9-4 to a strong Carshalton Athletic side. One man short but battled to the end. Jamie (keeper) was MoM for a string of saves inc a pen but everyone put in a tremendous effort with Jack heading a brilliant goal from a Mason corner. Well done to Steve and all the lads for sticking to it .youth 10.05.15 02 youth 10.05.15 03 youth 10.05.15 04

Today’s results 5s win 5-1 at home against HSBC (pics) with a great second half performance, 6s lost 4-2 to Alex park with a scratch side – thanks to all those who made the effort – great Merton spirit, BUT West Wickham beat Poly 1-0 so the 1s are relegated to Div 2 (on goal difference). Really gutted for the lads but very proud of them all (pic) They will be back.

1s draw ith West Wickham 1-1. Good second half performance and late Will Taylor equaliser not quite enough to ensure first division survival. (West Wickham need to win last game to relegate us).

YOUTH UPDATE: U12s lost 5-2 against Twickenham Tigers, 4-0 down at half time, the boys had a great 2nd half and played some great football having most of possession, but having 6 weeks without a game really took its toll. Thanks to Richard & Ian for setting up the goals, (see pic) and thanks for Tills & son for coming down to the Hood and cheering us on. MOM was Mckenzie for his determination and leadership.
U11s beat Kew Pk Rangers 9-2 in their last game of the season. Well done.

Todays Match. 1s lost 5-1 at Old Wilsonians. Top side but for long periods of the game we played well. A great goal from Will Taylor brought it back to 2-1 and we were in the game but they were very good, deserved their win and we need to fight on. Some action pics and with the Stevens Boys both playing a ‘spot the difference competition’
