Training

Training will now take place at Harris Academy Wimbledon. The link below will give you more details.

Pre season training will begin on 13th July at Joseph Hood Recreation Ground, Martin Way. Please aim to arrive at 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Training will finish aprrox 8.30pm.

Training will consist of both fitness and game play.

This years Merton FC AGM will be on 2oth July at 20:30, held at the clubhouse, Joseph Hood Recreation Ground. This will be after training so those who wish to stay behind and attend are welcome

The AGM is to approve the club finances, committee members, membership fees and any other business.

Friday 17th June saw the 2s represent the club at the SAL award night.
This is where they picked up the award for winning the Intermediate Division 3 league title.

Not only did Merton collect this award they were presented with two other awards that evening, which was unexpected.

Wilkinson Sword award for fair play and getting through 100+ years as a club.

Lets hope we can build on this next season.

28th May was the Merton FC awards night.

Great evening had by all, with fish and chip supper and the champions league final on in the bar.

Special thanks went to Sharon and team who help manage and run bar.

Merton FC Annual Awards Night

The 2s are league champions!!!!! They won away to their title rivals in a must win game to take the title to go alongside their promotion. Congratulations to James and all the players who have contributed this season to this fantastic achievement.

Won 3-2 away to Actonians in the league. The goals were scored by Luke Belto (2) and Jamie Archbold, with a hat trick of assists from Glenn Pitman. No MOTM was awarded and DOTD was Conor Murphy. The 2s have completed their season and finished 1st in the league.

🐗🐗 MFC results from 15/1/22🐗🐗

Headline: Just one win, with some close games and some not so close games. They included the usual goal fest from the 2s and yet more goals from Andy Bitmead (30 for the season). Special mention to Luke Belto who played in goal for a half and also notched a brace.

1s: Lost 2-1 to NUFC Oilers in the league. The goal was scored by Jamie Cross. MOTM was Joel Carter and DOTD was Chaz Martin. The 1s are 7th in the league.

2s: Won 5-3 away to Carshalton in the league. The goals were scored by Conor Murphy, Graham Willgoss, James Barnett and Luke Belto (2). The assists were provided by Steve Newell (2), Connor Teuten (2) and James Barnett. MOTM was Luke Belto and DOTD was Daniel Hansen. The 2s are 1st in the league.

3s: Lost 3-2 away to Old Wilsonians in the league. The goals were scored by Andy Bitmead (2), with assists provided by Anwar Madkour and Akram Choudhury. MOTM was Andy Bitmead and DOTD was Nathen Harris. The 3s are 10h in the league.

5s: No fixture. The 5s are 6th in the league.

6s: Lost 6-0 at home to Broomfield in the cup. MOTM was Scott Brown and DOTD was Clive Corrigan. The 6s are 1st in the league.

Vets: Lost 6-0 away to Tooting Bec Legends in the shield. MOTM and DOTD voting did not take place. The Vets are now out of the shield.

Headline: Three wins out of four, as the 1s win 3-2 for the third game in a row, the club’s new kit gets a winning debut with the 3s and Aaron Byrne scores a hat trick in the 6s’ first game of the season.

1s: Won 3-2 at home to Crouch End Vampires in the league. The goals were scored by Jamie Cross (2) and Jesse Dakurah with an assist from Joel Carter. MOTM was Jesse and DOTD was James Gray.

2s: No fixture.

3s: Won 3-2 away to Albanians in the cup. The goals were scored by Steve Newell, Connor Teuten and Billy Lane. Assists were provided by Ed Plaistow, Ben Cook and Justin Huxter. MOTM was Steve Newell and DOTD was Billy Lane.

5s: Lost 5-1 at home to Carshalton in the league. The goal was scored by Andy Bitmead. MOTM was Luke Newman and DOTD was Dwayne Bedford.

6s: Won 8-2 away to Bank of England in the league. The goals were scored by Aaron Byrne (3), Ricardo Iglesias, Simon Murphy, Darcy Yates, Simon Liste and Paul Matson. Assists were provided by Simon Liste (2), Paul Matson (2), Ricardo Iglesias, Darcy Yates (2) and Neal Davison. MOTM was Aaron Byrne and DOTD was Walshy (for losing his trousers and phone).
